Matthew
25:14 For the kingdome of heauen is as a man that going into a strange countrey, called his seruants, and deliuered to them his goods.
25:15 And vnto one he gaue fiue talents, and to an other two, and to another one, to euery man after his own ability, and straightway went from home.
25:16 Then he that had receiued the fiue talents, went and occupied with them, and gained other fiue talents.
25:17 Likewise also, he that receiued two, he also gained other two.
25:18 But he that receiued that one, went and digged it in the earth, and hid his masters money.
25:19 But after a long season, the master of those seruants came, and reckoned with them.
25:20 Then came he that had receiued fiue talents, and brought other fiue talents, saying, Master, thou deliueredst vnto me fiue talents: behold, I haue gained with them other fiue talents.
25:21 Then his master saide vnto him, It is well done good seruant and faithfull, Thou hast bene faithfull in litle, I will make thee ruler ouer much: enter into thy masters ioy.
25:22 Also he that had receiued two talents, came, and said, Master, thou deliueredst vnto me two talents: behold, I haue gained two other talets more.
25:23 His master saide vnto him, It is well done good seruant, and faithfull, Thou hast bene faithfull in litle, I will make thee ruler ouer much: enter into thy masters ioy.
25:24 Then he which had receiued the one talent, came, and said, Master, I knewe that thou wast an hard man, which reapest where thou sowedst not, and gatherest where thou strawedst not:
25:25 I was therefore afraide, and went, and hid thy talent in the earth: behold, thou hast thine owne.
25:26 And his master answered, and said vnto him, Thou euill seruant, and slouthfull, thou knewest that I reape where I sowed not, and gather where I strawed not.
25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to haue put my money to ye exchangers, and then at my comming should I haue receiued mine owne with vantage.
25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and giue it vnto him which hath tenne talents.
25:29 For vnto euery man that hath, it shall be giuen, and he shall haue abundance, and from him that hath not, euen that he hath, shalbe taken away.
Ephesians
2:7 That he might shewe in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindnesse toward vs in Christ Iesus.
2:8 For by grace are ye saued through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God,
2:9 Not of workes, least any man should boast himselfe.
Hebrews (the whole chapter really is best to read)
11:6 But without faith it is vnpossible to please him: for he that commeth to God, must beleeue that God is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seeke him.
James
2:17 Euen so the faith, if it haue no woorkes, is dead in it selfe.
2:18 But some man might say, Thou hast the faith, and I haue woorkes: shewe me thy faith out of thy woorkes, and I will shewe thee my faith by my woorkes.
2:19 Thou beleeuest that there is one God: thou doest well: the deuils also beleeue it, and tremble.
2:20 But wilt thou vnderstand, O thou vaine man, that the faith which is without workes, is dead?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father iustified through workes, when he offred Isaac his sonne vpon the altar?
2:22 Seest thou not that the faith wrought with his workes? and through the workes was the faith made perfect.
2:23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which sayeth, Abraham beleeued God, and it was imputed vnto him for righteousnesse: and hee was called the friende of God.
2:24 Ye see then howe that of workes a man is iustified, and not of faith onely.
2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot iustified through workes, when she had receiued ye messengers, and sent them out another way?
2:26 For as the body without ye spirit is dead, euen so the faith without workes is dead.
Romans
12:3 For I say through the grace that is giuen vnto me, to euery one that is among you, that no man presume to vnderstande aboue that which is meete to vnderstand, but that he vnderstande according to sobrietie, as God hath dealt to euery man the measure of faith.
2 Peter
1:5 Therefore giue euen all diligence thereunto: ioyne moreouer vertue with your faith: and with vertue, knowledge:
1:6 And with knowledge, temperance: and with temperance, patience: and with patience, godlines:
1:7 And with godlines, brotherly kindnes: and with brotherly kindnes, loue.
1:8 For if these things be among you, and abound, they will make you that ye neither shalbe idle, nor vnfruitfull in the acknowledging of our Lord Iesus Christ:
1:9 For he that hath not these things, is blinde, and can not see farre off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his olde sinnes.
Romans
10:14 But how shall they call on him, in whome they haue not beleeued? and how shall they beleeue in him, of whom they haue not heard? and howe shall they heare without a preacher?
10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, Howe beautifull are the feete of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
10:16 But they haue not all obeyed ye Gospel: for Esaias saith, Lord, who hath beleeued our report?
10:17 Then faith is by hearing, and hearing by the worde of God.
10:18 But I demaund, Haue they not heard? No doubt their sound went out through all the earth, and their wordes into the endes of the worlde.
10:19 But I demaund, Did not Israel knowe God? First Moses sayth, I will prouoke you to enuie by a nation that is not my nation, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
10:20 And Esaias is bolde, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not, and haue bene made manifest to them that asked not after me.
10:21 And vnto Israel hee sayth, All the day long haue I stretched foorth mine hand vnto a disobedient, and gainesaying people.
Now let’s look at the parable again,
I could be wrong but I believe by connecting all of these scriptures together is teaching that the talents given is the measure of faith given to everyone at salvation, (Romans 12:3) and as we grow, our faith is to grow also (2 Peter 1:5) and as we add virtue which is living according to Gods commandments/statutes by walking in the Spirit, then “works” will follow because that is evidence of your faith (James 2:18). But in order to begin to grow in your faith that God has given you must read and hear the word of God. (Romans10:17)
Now some may say yes, but, Romans is talking about the Word i e Jesus Christ, I would say I agree and add the word which Jesus SPOKE to them was LIFE and all are to obey HIS WORDS I E TEACHINGS which the Apostle went about teaching.
John
14:26 But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, which I haue tolde you.
Matthew
10:27
What I tell you in darkenesse, that speake yee in light: and what yee heare in the eare, that preach yee on the houses.
10:28 And feare yee not them which kill the bodie, but are nor able to kill the soule: but rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule and bodie in hell.
Matthew
28:19 Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Sonne, and the holy Ghost,
28:20 Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, vntill the ende of the worlde, Amen.
Now if you believe that the Holy Scriptures have been supernaturally changed and you cannot trust the words spoken by the LORD Jesus Christ then you my friend are in a sad state spiritually.
In the parable the talents were given, in the spiritual faith is given.

Doing everything in faith is rooted in walking by faith rather than sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and ensuring actions align with the measure of faith God has given (Romans 12:3).
Faith is presented as the foundational, active, and necessary component for pleasing God, serving Him, and navigating life’s challenges, even when not immediately visible.
Scriptures on Doing Things in Faith:Walking by Faith: “For we walk by faith, not by sight:” — 2 Corinthians 5:7.Living by Faith: “The just shall live by faith.” — Romans 1:17 (often referenced alongside faith-based actions).Measure of Faith: “…according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” — Romans 12:3.Pleasing God: “But without faith it is impossible to please him…” — Hebrews 11:6.Abounding in Faith: “…as ye abound in every thing, in faith… see that ye abound in this grace also.” — 2 Corinthians 8:7.Confidence in Work: Doing everything in faith includes trusting God for strength and direction, as mentioned in the context of serving and working (cf. Colossians 3:23).
