The one thing many say to me is this…”That is your conviction not mine, God has not convicted me of_________.”
Mmm K the Holy Scriptures tells you what sin is, it does not say it is a sin for one and not another…now there are things that are not sinful so to speak but a person feels it is wrong and therefore does not do it, then if they begin to do it because others are, that one person has sinned against God and their own conscience.
Let me give you a couple examples. If someone believes it is wrong to eat pork so they do not eat it. But another does not believe eating pork is wrong and eats it. Neither one in that aspect is wrong. But if the one who believes it is wrong begins to indulge in bacon, pork rhines ham etc they have not only sinned against their own conscience, but by eating it not in faith, they sinned against God.
Another example, some believe it is a sin to drink a glass of wine, not get drunk but enjoy a single glass of wine. Another believes having a glass of wine 🍷 is not a sin but can have a drink it in moderation.
Both can be right according to conscience. Now if the one that believes it is a sin but sees others do it decides to join in against their conscience, they have committed sin against their conscience and not drinking it in faith, sin against God.
There are numerous things that one can be convicted with while another is not. With that said there are sins that are explicitly written that all are to not do.
Like adultery, fornication, lying, idolatry, divination, not being sober minded, stealing…
So is smoking a sin? How about smoking Marijuana? Eating gummies with thc? Calling people imporper pronouns? Injecting your body with toxic things? The list goes on and on. All I can say is, are you smoking weed to the glory of God? With every drag from that cigarette that causes cancer are you doing it as unto the LORD? I am no ones judge we are to examine our ownselves. Anything without faith is sin.
