There Is Not And Was Not A Second Opportunity For Salvation After Death

Hebrews
9:27 And as it is appointed vnto men once to die, but after this the Iudgement:

Revelation
20:5 But the rest of the dead liued not againe vntill the thousand yeeres were finished. This is the first resurrection.
20:6 Blessed & holy is he that hath part in ye first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be Priests of God, and of Christ, and shall reigne with him a thousand yeeres.
20:7 And when the thousand yeeres are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
20:8 And shall goe out to deceiue the nations which are in the foure quarters of the earth, Gog & Magog, to gather them together to battell: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
20:9 And they went vp on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the campe of the Saints about, and the beloued citie: and fire came downe from God out of heauen, and deuoured them.
20:10 And the deuil that deceiued them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night, for euer and euer.
20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sate on it, from whose face the earth and the heauen fled away, and there was found no place for them.
20:12 And I sawe the dead, small and great, stand before God: and the books were opened: & another booke was opened, which is the booke of life: and the dead were iudged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
20:13 And the sea gaue vp the dead which were in it: and death and hell deliuered vp the dead which were in them: and they were iudged euery man according to their works.
20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.
20:15 And whosoeuer was not found written in the booke of life, was cast into the lake of fire.

Romans
2:12 For as many as haue sinned without Law, shall also perish without Law: and as many as haue sinned in the Law, shalbe iudged by the Law.
2:13 (For not the hearers of the Law are iust before God, but the doers of the Law shalbe iustified;
2:14 For when the Gentiles which haue not the Law, doe by nature the things contained in the Law: these hauing not the Law, are a Law vnto themselues,
2:15 Which shew the worke of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witnesse, and their thoughts the meane while accusing, or else excusing one another:
2:16 In the day when God shall iudge the secrets of men by Iesus Christ, according to my Gospel.

I do not agree with some, who believe the “rest of the dead” was resurrected people who died before Christ and was given a second chance for salvation. I totally disagree with that line of thinking. It is the same as those who say Jesus went and preached to those spirits in prison to give them an opportunity to repent after death.

The Holy Scriptures clearly states it is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgement. You do not get a second chance to repent after you have died, your only hope for salvation is while you are alive and breathing here on earth. As far as those who never heard of or knew Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures are clear as well.

“For when the Gentiles which haue not the Law, doe by nature the things contained in the Law: these hauing not the Law, are a Law vnto themselues, Which shew the worke of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witnesse, and their thoughts the meane while accusing, or else excusing one another:”

So, I personally believe and it is my own speculation that those in the second resurrection are those who died before Christ as well as after Christ and is awaiting judgement. Which will not happen until the little/short season is over.

The following Scriptures show this was true even BEFORE CHRIST
Genesis

12:12 Therefore it shall come to passe, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will saue thee aliue.
12:13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister, that it may be wel with me, for thy sake; and my soule shall liue, because of thee.
12:14 And it came to passe, that when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman, that shee was very faire.
12:15 The Princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaohs house.
12:16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheepe, and oxen, and hee asses, and men seruants, and maid seruants, and shee asses, and camels.
12:17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh & his house with great plagues, because of Sarai Abrams wife.
12:18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done vnto me? Why diddest thou not tell me, that she was thy wife?
12:19 Why saidest thou, Shee is my sister? so I might haue taken her to mee to wife: now therfore behold, thy wife, take her and goe thy way.
12:20 And Pharaoh comanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.
