Virgins, lamps, oil, vessels
Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdome of heauen be likened vnto ten Uirgins, which tooke their lamps, & went forth to meet the bridegrome.
25:2 And fiue of them were wise, and fiue were foolish.
25:3 They that were foolish tooke their lampes, and tooke no oyle with them:
25:4 But the wise tooke oyle in their vessels with their lampes.
25:5 While the bridegrome taried, they all slumbred and slept.
25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegrome commeth, goe ye out to meet him.
25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lampes.
25:8 And the foolish said vnto the wise, Giue vs of your oyle, for our lampes are gone out.
25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so, lest there be not ynough for vs and you, but goe ye rather to them that sell, and buy for your selues.
25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegrome came, and they that were ready, went in with him to the marriage, and the doore was shut.
25:11 Afterward came also the other virgines, saying, Lord, Lord, open to vs.
25:12 But he answered, and said, Uerely I say vnto you, I know you not.
25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day, nor the houre, wherein the Sonne of man commeth.
First let us note the Bridegroom came at the darkest hour, that represents this dark and evil world in which we live in, when sin has reached its full the LORD will return, it is now we are to be ready.
LAMPS ARE THE WORD OF GOD WE CALL BIBLES
Psalms 119:105 [NVN.] Thy word is a lampe vnto my feete: and a light vnto my path.
Proverbs 6:23 For the Commandement is a lampe, and the Lawe is light: and reproofes of instruction are the way of life:
Are you reading the True Word of God? Or are you reading a Bible that you can understand and relate to? Not everyone that says LORD LORD are the LORDS and not every Bible called a Bible is the Word of God. Does your lamp contain oil?
Oil represents the Holy Spirit and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Spirit of the LORD
1 Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel tooke the horne of oile, and annointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came vpon Dauid, from that day forward: So Samuel rose vp and went to Ramah.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Iesus of Nazareth with the holy Ghost, and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the deuill: for God was with him.
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is vpon me, because the Lord hath anointed me, to preach good tidings vnto the meeke, hee hath sent me to binde vp the broken hearted, to proclaime libertie to the captiues, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound:
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye haue receiued of him, abideth in you: and yee need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is trueth, and is no lye: and euen as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Uses for olive oil 🪔 are plentiful it is used for light, food, skin, hair, consecration.
In the Word of God it is used for;
In the Temple for light in the Lampstand
Exodus 27:20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oyle Oliue beaten, for the light, to cause the lampe to burne alwayes.
27:21 In the Tabernacle of the Congregation without the Uaile, which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sonnes shall order it from euening to morning before the Lord: It shall be a statute for euer, vnto their generations, on the behalfe of the children of Israel.
Consecration of priests
Leviticus 8:30 And Moses tooke of the anoynting oyle, and of the blood which was vpon the Altar, and sprinckled it vpon Aaron, and vpon his garments, and vpon his sonnes, and vpon his sunnes garments with him: and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sonnes, and his sonnes garments with him.
Psalms 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me, in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oyle, my cuppe runneth ouer.
Food
Numbers 11:8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in milles, or beat it in a morter, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oyle.
1 Kings 17:11 And as shee was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring mee, I pray thee, a morsell of bread in thine hand.
17:12 And she said, As the Lord thy God liueth, I haue not a cake, but an handfull of meale in a barrell, and a little oyle in a cruse: and behold, I am gathering two stickes, that I may goe in, and dresse it for me and my sonne, that we may eate it, and die.
17:13 And Eliiah said vnto her, Feare not, goe, and doe as thou hast said: but make mee thereof a little cake first, and bring it vnto mee, and after make for thee, and for thy sonne.
17:14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrell of meale shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oile faile, vntill the day that the Lord sendeth raine vpon the earth.
17:15 And shee went, and did according to the saying of Eliiah: and she, and he, and her house did eate many dayes.
17:16 And the barrell of meale wasted not, neither did the cruse of oyle faile, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Eliiah.
Healing
Luke 10:34 And went to him, and bound vp his wounds, powring in oile and wine, and set him on his owne beast, and brought him to an Inne, and tooke care of him.
Leviticus 14:28 And the Priest shall put of the oile that is in his hand, vpon the tip of the right eare of him that is to be cleansed, and vpon the thumbe of his right hand, and vpon the great toe of his right foot; vpon the place of the blood of the trespasse offering.
14:29 And the rest of the oile that is in the Priests hand, he shall put vpon the head of him that is to bee cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the Lord.
14:30 And he shall offer the one of the turtle doues, or of the yong pigeons, such as he can get:
14:31 Euen such as he is able to get, the one for a sinne offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering. And the Priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed, before the Lord.
14:32 This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosie, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.
We Are The Vessels
2 Corinthians 1:21 Now hee which stablisheth vs with you, in Christ, and hath anoynted vs, is God,
1:22 Who hath also sealed vs, and giuen the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God who commaunded the light to shine out of darkenes, hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Iesus Christ.
4:7 But we haue this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellencie of the power may be of God, and not of vs.
2 Timothy 2:20-23 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reigne with him: if wee denie him, hee also will denie vs.
2:13 If we beleeue not, yet he abideth faithfull, he cannot denie himselfe.
2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord, that they striue not about words to no profite, but to the subuerting of the hearers.
2:15 Studie to shewe thy selfe approued vnto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly diuiding the word of trueth.
2:16 But shun profane and vaine bablings, for they will increase vnto more vngodlinesse.
2:17 And their word will eate as doth a canker: of whom is Hymeneus and Philetus.
2:18 Who concerning the trueth haue erred, saying that the resurrection is past alreadie, and ouerthrow the faith of some.
2:19 Neuerthelesse the foundation of God standeth sure, hauing the seale, the Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let euery one that nameth the Name of Christ, depart from iniquitie.
2:20 But in a great house, there are not onely vessels of gold, and of siluer, but also a wood, & of earth: and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2:21 If a man therefore purge himselfe from these, he shal be a vessell vnto honour, sanctified, and meete for the Masters vse, and prepared vnto euery good worke.
2:22 Flie also youthfull lusts: but follow righteousnesse, faith, charitie, peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2:23 But foolish and vnlearned questions auoid, knowing that they doe gender strifes.
2:24 And the seruant of the Lord must not striue: but bee gentle vnto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2:25 In meekenesse instructing those that oppose themselues, if God peraduenture will giue them repentance to the acknowledging of the trueth.
2:26 And that they may recouer themselues out of the snare of the deuill, who are taken captiue by him at his will.
A vessel carries something, we are a vessel, we carry the anointing of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us as we are the Temple of God.
The Bible our Lamp we read, must have oil in it, which only comes from being Inspired by the Holy Spirit it is anointed. Not all Bibles are the Word of God.
In order to understand the Word Of God we must have the Holy Spirit Who will open or enlightened our understanding, without Him then we are understanding things in our own wisdom and that will deceived us.
The Holy Spirit in us will confirm to us if the lamp we have has oil or not. But we must be able to hear what the Spirit is saying and see what the Spirit is showing us, and He can only do that if we have oil in our vessels.
Buy From Who?
Isaiah 55:1 Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money: come ye, buy and eate, yea come, buy wine and milke without money, and without price.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Iesus vnto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him denie himselfe, and take vp his crosse, and follow me.
16:25 For whosoeuer will saue his life, shall lose it: and whosoeuer will lose his his life for my sake, shall finde it.
16:26 For what is a man profited, if hee shal gaine the whole world, and lose his owne soule? Or what shall a man giue in exchange for his soule?
How and with what?
Matthew 16:25 For whosoeuer will saue his life, shall lose it: and whosoeuer will lose his his life for my sake, shall finde it.

Bottomline SURRENDER ALL
The very first step is salvation, by grace through faith (faith is a verb it is an action word)
Ephesians 2:7 That in the ages to come, hee might shew the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindenesse towards vs, through Christ Iesus.
2:8 For by grace are ye saued, through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God:
2:9 Not of workes, lest any man should boast.
After salvation, then comes surrendering (action)
James 2:17 Euen so faith, if it hath not works, is dead being alone.
2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I haue workes: shew mee thy faith without thy workes, and I will shew thee my faith by my workes.
2:19 Thou beleeuest that there is one God, thou doest well: the deuils also beleeue, and tremble.
2:20 But wilt thou knowe, O vaine man, that faith without workes is dead?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father iustified by works, when hee had offered Isaac his sonne vpon the altar?
2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
2:23 And the Scripture was fullfiled which saith, Abraham beleeued God, and it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes: and he was called the friend of God.
2:24 Ye see then, how that by workes a man is iustified, and not by faith only.
2:25 Likewise also, was not Rahab the harlot iustified by works, when she had receiued the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without workes is dead also.
James 4:7 Submit your selues therefore to God: resist the deuill, and hee will flee from you.
4:8 Draw nigh to God, and hee will draw nigh to you: cleanse your hands ye sinners, and purifie your hearts yee double minded.
4:9 Bee afflicted, and mourne, and weepe: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your ioy to heauinesse.
4:10 Humble your selues in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you vp.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee present your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruice.
12:2 And bee not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renuing of your minde, that ye may proue what is that good, that acceptable and perfect will of God.
John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is ye husbandman.
15:2 Euery branch in me that beareth not fruit, hee taketh away: and euery branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring foorth more fruit.
15:3 Now ye are cleane through the word which I haue spoken vnto you.
15:4 Abide in me, and in you: As the branch cannot beare fruit of itselfe, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can doe nothing.
15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered, and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall aske what ye will, and it shall be done vnto you.
15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye beare much fruit, so shall ye bee my Disciples.

6:18 Flee fornication: Euery sinne that a man doeth, is without the body: but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his owne body.

8:35 For whosoeuer will saue his life shall lose it, but whosoeuer shall lose his life for my sake and the Gospels, the same shall saue it.
8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gaine the whole world, and lose his owne soule?
8:37 Or what shall a man giue in exchange for his soule?
8:38 Whosoeuer therefore shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinfull generation, of him also shall the Sonne of man bee ashamed, when he commeth in the glory of his Father, with the holy Angels.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ. Neuertheles, I liue, yet not I, but Christ liueth in me, and the life which I now liue in the flesh, I liue by the faith of the sonne of God, who loued mee, and gaue himselfe for me.
2:21 I doe not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousnes come by the Lawe, then Christ is dead in vaine.
This is a study that I did this evening as I sat here recovering from a horrible sickness that took hold of my body this morning. Be blessed my family in Christ. This is just my thoughts as I run references I am not teaching you, but sharing.
Much love,
