There is something that really troubles me deeply concerning teachers, preachers, and prophets of this day on YouTube especially, but also Patreon.
Money…monetization of their channels…when those who profess to know Christ Jesus and claim to be called by Him and love Him with everything, but, then say something like, “if you feel lead, or if these teachings, sermons, words helped you please think about donating to this ministry to further the Gospel.”
Really?
So are they saying they are not reading and studying scriptures first for themselves to grow closer to Christ and in faith? And after they have been given understanding to perform the duty that they say God called them to do that their time they spend should be rewarded with money 💰? Where is that is scripture?
Please do not try and pull the scripture that workman is worthy of his hire scripture to justify you asking for money 💰. Back then they literally had to walk everywhere for days upon days. They had to rely on others for food, and shelter. Even Paul was not about to let them boast of giving him money, he worked for his own by tent making!! He did not want it said he gained from preaching!
Should people give or receive money in the work for the LORD? Yes, but not everyone!! Those who have dedicated their entire life, their entire being to share the Gospel across the nations absolutely should be helped for travel, food, and shelter their necessities should be met.
But for those who on YouTube that posts a few scriptures, and says they have a Word from the LORD or a dream or vision from the LORD and then literally post their PayPal or cash app for “donations” to continue the work of LORD I find pretty distasteful. There are many on these platforms that are doing this, and truth be told since they can afford to have a cell phone, and information for research is free online, (esword is a fantastic tool), it is costing them NOTHING out of pocket to do these videos 📹! And having g a dream, vision, or prophecying costs them nothing!
The time I spend reading, praying, studying I cannot put a price on, nor would I asked for monetary gain to do it. My reward is in heaven but also I am blessed here on earth by having a greater understanding of Who my Heavenly Father is, and how great of a cost He paid to be reconciled with me! As I read and study my faith grows and through that I receive more peace and joy. How could anyone ask for money for those things?
I do not comprehend this sort of thinking I really do not. Some will even say, “if you give to this ministry it is as if you are giving to the LORD “. UMM NO! If we have the money and time and the pure desire to give away a portion or even all it, it is not to those who have plenty, but it is to those who are poor, naked, hungry, widowed, in prison and fatherless. That is the Truth of when you give, UNTO THE LEAST YOU DO IT AS UNTO THE LORD!”
Watching some of these people I almost, but not quite but almost become speechless because it is very apparent they have more than most and yet still urge you to give to their ministry.
But on the other hand, I have listened to some that give away their actual books and things they have poured hours upon hours in for free in order to further the Gospel. Reginald Block is one that I highly respect for that. There are others also that do this, others will give their proceeds to people and things that help others. And as I stated these people literally spent countless of hours in study, prayer, fasting, research and want nothing but for Gods kingdom to grow for Jesus Christ to receive His Inhertance that He died for, but, those who wake up from a dream they say is from God is asking for money? I do not get it I really really do not.
My friend Deanne Loper she wrote her book so others could know the false doctrines of Kabballah and how the Zionist have infiltrated the church spreading lies. She told me she did not do this for money or to get rich by any means. Hers was the first book I read on YouTube and she thanked me for doing it!! She was not upset because me reading it for free she lost out on money! I got her book free on Amazon kindle!! David N. Wilcoxson the same free, on Amazon Kindle in order for others to know the truth!!
If a person who is a lawyer, or works any other kind of job or is married and has at least one income or is retired they should not be asking for money for their devotional time they spend with God!
My opinion is just that my opinion…
