I have been thinking 🤔 and asked the LORD something that has bothered me, until He answered my question yesterday.
Since adulthood not before, friends, co-workers would come to me with issues making me somewhat of a middle man. So, I would take their complaints to the manager or supervisor.
I remember one time very vividly from a fast food restaurant I worked at, the crew and managers had huge issues with the new store manager. She was pretty much bipolar one minutes fun loving the very next extremely hostile and cussing slamming things. I went to our then supervisor and told him what others have said and what I myself witnessed. Well, our supervisor and the store manager kinda had a “thing” for one another and everything I had said, he told her. A couple of days later the store manager called me at home, so very friendly and nice and asked if I would come in early, I said sure. When I pulled in she met me outside, so no one knew I was there and in a very kind tone asked me to get in her car. The ride at first seemed normal enough as her and I had been social outside of work. But then as we drove down 52 she pulled off into the woods! That is when things got real creepy and pretty scary indeed. Her personality changed completely and she told me everything that I had told the supervisor in confidence and told me very clearly these words, “I could kill you right now and leave your body out here and no one would know it was me. No one knows you are with me and your car is in the parking lot!” She was pretty serious and I was pretty scared. She warned me never to talk about her again and that no one, no one would stand with me! And how she knew that is pretty much beyond me, but she was right. The mangers and crew would not back me up and I was broken.
That is just one instance there has been a few others afterwards but not necessarily at that place of work, not at a workplace at all. It has happened in Christian circles as well.
In the Christian circles it has more to do with the Holy Scriptures rather than complaints. There are many people that will come to me in secret and say, I believe the Holy Scriptures teach exactly what you are saying….yet, they will not stand for the Word of God when others blatantly attack, defame, or try and tear me apart. This has happened with a few studies when taking the Word of God, “As it is Written”. These people agree in secret but refuse to stand in the open…those that are within the church when they attack me i can accept because they do it from blindness or fleshly carnal lusts, but those who are enlightened then remain silent of the Truth is quite worrisome to me.
So, I asked the LORD and He let me know, there is a reason for your isolation, sometimes you must just lean on the Father and no other. Then He reminded me of Nicodemus who knew He was of God but came at night, He reminded me when He wanted James, John, and Peter to pray with Him but they fell asleep, then He reminded me how they all scattered and left Him at His time of arrest, then how Peter denied even knowing Him three times. Even Jesus during His earthly life has to go through times, tough times even alone.
Family of Christ know in this life as we walk with the LORD it is a very straight and narrow Way and the only One that may be with you, you only know it in faith. Remember, faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. So regardless if others who know the Truth stands with you or not know the One whose Name is Truth is with you always.
