Let Us Dig Deep

The Word of God shall stand, heaven and earth shall pass away Jesus said but His Word shall not.

John the Baptist was a holy man, he came in the spirit of Elijah the scriptures tell us. He preached repent or perish, he was in the line of the priests, he knew the Holy Scriptures very well. He even was filled with the Holy Ghost in the very womb of his mother!

So now that we have the background on his character, we understand he was a man of integrity and he lived, and breathed the Word of God. Why was he beheaded then? What angered the queen so much that she used her own daughter to dance provocatively before aged men, even her own uncle!

Matthew

14:1At that time Herod the Tetrarch heard of the fame of Iesus,
14:2And said vnto his seruants, This is Iohn the Baptist, hee is risen from the dead, and therfore mighty workes doe shew foorth themselues in him.
14:3For Herode had layd hold on Iohn, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias sake, his brother Philips wife.
14:4For Iohn said vnto him, It is not lawfull for thee to haue her.
14:5And when he would haue put him to death, hee feared the multitude, because they counted him as a Prophet.
14:6But when Herods birth day was kept, the daughter of Herodias daunced before them, and pleased Herode.
14:7Whereupon he promised with an oath, to giue her whatsoeuer she would aske.
14:8And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Giue me heere Iohn Baptists head in a charger.
14:9And the king was sorie: neuerthelesse for the othes sake, and them which sate with him at meate, he commanded it to be giuen her:
14:10And he sent, and beheaded Iohn in the prison.

John went and told a sinful king, who was not even a Jew that it was not lawful for him to be married to his brother Phillips wife. Why would John say this if God is not aware of marriages outside the church? Let’s read what Jesus said,

Matthew 19:3 The Pharisees also came vnto him, tempting him, and saying vnto him, Is it lawfull for a man to put away his wife for euery cause?19:4 And hee answered, and said vnto them, Haue ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning, made them male and female?19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leaue father and mother, and shall cleaue to his wife: and they twaine shalbe one flesh.19:6 Wherefore they are no more twaine, but one flesh. What therefore God hath ioyned together, let not man put asunder.19:7 They say vnto him, Why did Moses then command to giue a writing of diuorcement, and to put her away?19:8 Hee saith vnto them, Moses, because of the hardnesse of your hearts, suffered you to put away your wiues: but from the beginning it was not so.19:9 And I say vnto you, Whosoeuer shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away, doth commit adultery.19:10 His disciples say vnto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marrie.19:11 But hee said vnto them, All men cannot receiue this saying, saue they to whom it is giuen.

Jesus told the Pharisees in the above verses that 1. God made them male and female. 2. The two shall be One flesh. 3. What God joined together let not man separate. 4. Because of the hardness of their hearts MOSES NOT GOD allowed them to give a letter of divorcement. Then He continues to say, BUT FROM THE BEGINNING IT WAS NOT SO! 5. Jesus then clearly states that WHOSOEVER SINNER OR SAINT divorces their spouse and married another except it be for fornication (sex before they married btw in Jewish law and engagement was a legal marriage before the actual ceremony took place a divorce would be called for to break the engagement) if they are married and divorce and the remarry they commit adultery…

Those are the very words of God! He made it clear WHOSOEVER and not once did He say, unless there is abuse, adultery, lies, etc you can remarry. He said IF you remarry you commit adultery. Let’s read the other Gospel and see if they wrote about this as well.

Mark 10:11 And he saith vnto them, Whosoeuer shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and bee married to another, she committeth adulterie.

Luke 16:18 Whosoeuer putteth away his wife, & marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoeuer marrieth

Go and read also, Matthew 5:32 as well. Next let us read what Apostle Paul wrote and see if he added to the spoken Words of Christ or does he confirm what Our LORD and Savior spoke.

Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husbaud, is bound by the law to her husband, so long as he liueth: but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of the husband.7:3 So then if while her husband liueth, shee be married to another man, shee shalbe called an adulteresse: but if her husband be dead, shee is free from that law, so that she is no adulteresse, though she be married to another man.

1 Corinthians 7:10 And vnto the married, I command, YET NOT I, BUT THE LORD ,Let not the wife depart from her husband:7:11 But and if shee depart, let her remaine vnmaried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Apostle Paul is very, very clear making sure you, me, everyone understands that this is FROM THE LORD NOT HIS OPINION….

Not one of these verses is of private interpretation not any of this is my own opinion, this is the Holy Scriptures and it is clear, cut and dry what God says and commands. First John was beheaded for telling a sinful couple it was wrong to be divorced and remarried, second, Jesus Christ stated He was speaking to WHOSOEVER that means all of mankind not just believers, He tells us if we divorce and remarry we are committing adultery, Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 7 only death gives a married person the blessing of God to remarry, then in 1 Corinthians 7 he tells us that the LORD SAYS if you part from your spouse you are to remain unmarried OR BE RECONCILED to your spouse.

So many people want to kick against the pricks with this. Many want to say this is my interpretation, yet, this is the Holy Scriptures not my opinion or interpretation it can not get any clearer than this!

Some claim that if we ask God to forgive us for our adulterous relationship that somehow He will purify that sin of adultery and allow you to continue in that adulterous relationship even though there is not one scripture to back such foolishness up. God will absolutely forgive ADULTERY and after we are forgiven we are to REPENT TURN AWAY FROM THAT SIN OF ADULTERY and live a holy life unto God.

I have not added my opinion, I have stayed within the New Covenant and I have shown you in scriptures the Commandments of Jesus Christ.

If you have an issue or an argument about this take it to the One Who spoke it and Inspired it. I love you all so very much and Truth be told in my carnal mind I could careless how many times you marry and divorce, but in my spirit I care because the Word of God is clear…

1 Corinthians 6:9 Know yee not that the vnrighteous shall not inherite the kingdome of God? Be not deceiued: neither fornicatours, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselues with mankinde,6:10 Nor theeues, nor couetous, nor drunkards, nor reuilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.6:11 And such WERE SOME OF YOU: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are iustified in the Name of the Lord Iesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Were is past tense and though many want to twist and pervert these scriptures and try to make them say that if they were in an adulterous relationship before salvation that after salvation He makes it a “holy” marriage even though the first spouse is still alive.

Take this all to the LORD, you have questions ask Him He has every answer you need in His Word let Him lead you into all Truth!

I love each of you so much!

Pamela
