Is the Angel Of The LORD Jesus Or Holy Spirit?

Okay, another thought this morning driving home from helping my friend clean her business…

Where does it say that Jesus is the Angel of the LORD? I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the Angel of the LORD IS GOD, there is no question of that being Truth. But my question is where do people read that the Angel of the LORD is the pre incarnate Jesus in the Old Testament?

We know He is not God the Father, for no man has seen God, and also Jesus came in the express image of God.

Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the inuisible God, the first borne of euery creature.

But why do we teach, repeat and tell others the Angel of the LORD is Jesus before He was made flesh? Where does the scripture tell us this?

I know in Daniel when the 3 men were thrown into the furnace that Nebuchadnezzar said this in the,

Matthews Bible

Daniel 3:25 He aunswered and sayde: lo, for all that, yet do I se foure men goynge lowse in the myddeste of the fyre, and nothynge corrupte: and the fourthe is lyke an angell to loke vpon.

But in the 1611 it says this,

Daniel3:25He answered and said, Loe, I see foure men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they haue no hurt, and the forme of the fourth is like the sonne of God.

Coverdale Daniel3:25 He answered and sayde: lo, for all that, yet do I se foure men goinge lowse in the myddest off the fyre, and nothinge corrupte: and the fourth is like an angel to loke vpon.

Now in Daniel it’s says,

Daniel3:28 Then spake Nabuchodonosor, and sayde: Blessed be the God of Sidrach, Misach and Abednago, whiche hath sente his aungel, & defended hys seruauntes, that put their trust in him: that haue altered the kynges commaundement: and yeoparde theyr bodyes thervpon, rather then they wolde serue or worshyp any other God, excepte theyr owne God onelye.

1611

Daniel3:28 Then Nebuchad-nezzar spake and said; Blessed bee the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his Angel, and deliuered his seruants that trusted in him, and haue changed the Kings word, and yeelded their bodies, that they might not serue nor worship any God, except their owne God.

Daniel3:28 Then spake Nabuchodonosor, and sayde: Blessed be the God of Sidrac, Misac & Abdenago: which hath sent his angel, ad defended his seruautes, that put their trust in him: yt haue altered the kynges commaundement, and ioperde their bodies thervpon: rather then they wolde serue or worshipe eny other god, excepte their owne God only.

Now why did the translators change, “like an angel to look upon” to “like the son of God”? Yet then in a few verses later in all three translations Nebuchadnezzar states that, “the God of Sidrach, Misach and Abednago, whiche hath sente his aungel”?

Is this where the idea that the Angel of the LORD is Jesus pre incarnate because the 1611 put in, “like the son of God” yet also calls him an angel? Yet, the first Bible to be translated into English from the original language (1537) translates Angel in both passages and so does the Bible after the first translation. But then several years later it is changed, which then in turn gives people the idea that Jesus Christ is an angel also, making Him a created being as JW, Mormons, and others teach that He is Michael an arch angel….which He is not…the scripture states clearly that Michael is ONE of the Cheif angels if Jesus is Michael then He is not God.

Daniel10:13 bad nor the prynce ouer the kingedom of the Perses withstand me .xxi. dayes. But lo, Michael one of the chefe Princes, came to helpe me, hym haue I left by the kyng of Persia.

In Daniel it clearly shows that Michael is ONE of the Princes (plural) meaning more than one, so to say that Jesus is Michael you would be stripping Him of His Divinity…and that is a problem.

The name Michael means, who is like God? Yet people say that, as making a statement saying, Michael is One with God no that is not so, it is Who is like God 🤔 like a rhetorical question being asked.

So why do we believe the Angel of the LORD must be the Son and not the Holy Spirit?? Matthews Bible

Genesis 1:2 The erth was voyde and empty, and darcknesse was vpon the depe, and the spirite of God moued vpon the water.

Matthews Bible Luke1:35 And the aungell aunswered and sayd vnto her: The holye ghoste shall come vnto the, and the power of the hyest shall ouer shadowe the. Therfore also that holye thynge whiche shall be borne shalbe called the sonne of God.

We read about Him being at Creation and we read how He was apart of the Word being made flesh.

If you remember Jacob wrestling with the Angel of the LORD and asked Him, His Name He gave it not.

Genesis 32:28 And he said: thou shalt be called Iacob no more, but Israel. For thou hast wresteled with God and hast preuayled.32:29 And Iacob asked hym sayinge, tell me thy name. And he said, wherfore doest thou aske after my name? & he blessed hym there.

Judges13:17And Manoah sayd vnto the angel of the Lord: what is thy name, that when thy sayinge is come to passe, we maye do the some worshippe?13:18And the angell of the Lorde sayde vnto him: why askest thou after my name? when it is maruelouse.13:19And Manoah toke a Kydde wyth a meate offering, and offered it vpon a rocke vnto the Lord. And the angel dyd wonderslye, Manoah and his wyfe lokyng vpon.13:20For when the flamme came vp out of the aultare, the angel of the Lord ascended vp in the flame of the aultare. And Manoah and hys wyfe loked vpon and fell flat on their faces vnto the grounde:

It appears to me and I could be mistaken, but it appears the Angel of the LORD IS the Holy Spirit taking the form of an Angel in order to communicate with man. I say this because of many reasons, but a huge one is the humility and always pointing to God Almighty, not even bringing glory to Himself by even giving His Name.

It just reminds me of what Jesus said about Him.

John16:13 Howe be it when he is come (I meane the spirite of truth) he wyll lead you into all truth. He shall not speake of hym self, but whatsoeuer he shal heare, that shall he speake, and he wyll shewe you thynges to come.
