Give Me Jesus

Just give me Jesus
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus ~ Mark 15:43
Who is this mysterious councilor named Joseph and where has he been the past three years?
Matthew tells us he had become a true believer in Christ at some point but John tells us that he kept it quiet for fear of the Jews.
All we know that is after Jesus’ death, while most of the disciples hide out in fear, this once-fearful disciple comes rushing out of the shadows and takes his stand. No more hiding, no more cowering away; he effectively storms into Pilate’s presence and says “Dead or alive, I don’t care – just give me Jesus!”
Friend, will you rise up like Joseph today and boldly stand for Christ?
It’s never too late.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. ~ 2 Timothy 4:5
