Fame And Gain

Are you doing YouTube videos? Are you posting studies on social media? What is your motivation for doing these things?

Are you preaching, teaching, and going out meeting people in their own environment pulling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty helping? What is your motivation for doing that?

We must examine our selves, we must judge our own hearts. Are you doing these things regardless of recognition? Jesus healed 10 lepers and ONE turned around and thanked Him, do you think He wished He never healed the others? NO! Jesus did not come to gain following by bring popular. He was not looking for quantity, but quality.

Are you sharing the Truth, yet, inside you are counting how many views or thumbs up you get? Are you worshipping your own self but under the pretense of worshipping God?

Have you cried out to the Father to hide you in the shadows so the LORD Jesus Christ can shine through? Are you posting things about yourself, and photos of yourself and promoting yourself?

God will share HIS Glory with NO MAN and that includes YOU! Even Jesus stated that He came to do the Will of the Father, that He only spoke what the Father gave Him to speak! Are you greater than the Creator of all?

I saw something on Twitter last night that troubled me, I will not mention names be ause that is unChristlike but I will tell you what was written. The woman who is very popular on YouTube was so upset that the correct number of subscribers either was changed by YouTube or they dropped dramatically. Why would this trouble a Christian so much that they would whine about it?

It’s not about numbers, it is about the Truth, loving the Truth and sharing the Truth.

When you sow a seed, it is not the same as planting a seed. You see, sowing a seed is going out with a bag of seeds, you take a handful and tossing them on the ground. Planting a seed is taking one at a time making a little burrow, putting the seed in and covering it up then w as tearing it.

We are to sow the seed, and someone else will come along and water it but only God gives the increase. You have no idea how many of the seeds you have sown have taken root, you have no idea, only God does! No recognition, no fame, no pat on the back, you are just the sower, the servant, the one who was created, in truth you and I deserve nothing because it is commanded of us to do so.

So the question is, are you doing things under the pretense of working for the LORD, or are you deep down doing it for fame and gain?

Do you concern yourself on comments, thumbs up, or hearts? Do you in truth need to be seen all the time as a front man? Do you over speak when someone asks questions or corrects you? Is your opinion more important than what the Bible says?

Accept and love the judgment of God ffg or your sin of self worship. Accept and love the chastisement of the LORD for these things, and ask Him to correct you immediately when you fall prey again to self worship and idolatry.
