Thinking about things lately…I am distraught I guess you could say.
I understand I suppose how older people in Christ become lukewarm, because they do not continue to fan the flame, feed their souls in the Word or stay in fellowship with God.
It is completely their fault without a doubt they walk away from their first love. But they at first, had a great love for the LORD and it was evident.
The thing that is distressing me lately, is watching new born babies in Christ, or those who have returned to the LORD follow the example of others that are living lukewarm total apostate lives.
This makes zero sense to me, I am not grasping how this could even happen….when I was born again I LOVED EVERYONE and wept for those that were lost even those that treated me badly.
When I returned to the LORD in 2017 the same thing occurred.
It was not in me to do this on my own, it was and still is solely because of the Holy Spirit!
The LORD transformed me, and is still transforming me. I am not unique, this happens to every single true born again believer.
What is happening to some that claim they are born again of late or have returned to the LORD, but still dabble in worldliness? I am beyond confused at what I am witnessing.
The LORD is not solely on their minds.
How do I know this?
Because of what they are posting!
They are doing satanic trivia posts, telling them, like what kind of animal represents them.
They are taking time answering questions that focus on themselves not on God.
What their birthdate tells of who they are.
What their eye color means.
The list is endless.
These things are NOT FROM GOD and quite frankly a NEW BORN BABY CHRISTIAN would not even be tempted to do this, because they would be consumed with their love for Christ and their desire to know him more they would be devouring the Word not being able to get enough because of their love for Him.
Next I am seeing posts condemning others and not encouraging others. Again new born babies in Christ, would be weeping and praying for others not condemning them.
How is this happening???
Then reading how they have somehow exalted themselves over the lost and completely forgotten what they were just forgiven for.
Where is the love that is shed abroad in our hearts by God?? Where? What is happening?
This keeps keeps coming in my mind…those who “begat” them is whom they are.
Huh???
You begat what you are….
WOW!!!
If these people are listening to false teachers and preachers, accepting easy beliefism, OSAS, then them still walking in sin and confessing Christ is why they do not display the fruit of repentance. Or the fruit of the Spirit for that matter.
The LORD opens my eyes to see this happening and my heart is broken.
Matthew 23:15
