THE SONG OF MOSES, OF THE LAMB AND OF FOOLS.

>>Revelation 15:1-4. 1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

>>Ecclesiastes 7:5. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.

The Song Of Moses.
Moses sang a song of praise in Exodus 15. but was told to write a song in Deuteronomy 31. The song he was told to write is in Deuteronomy 32. This was a song of praise, rebuke and warning.
It extolled the glory of God, exposed the rebellion of man and expressed the dangers of coming judgement.

>>Deuteronomy 31:19-22,30. 19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. 20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant. 21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware. 22 Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel. 30 And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.

THE SONG OF THE LAMB.
Extols the glory, majesty and power of Christ.
(Who He Is)
Exposes sinfulness of men’s hearts.
(Why He Came)
Expresses the danger of coming judgement.
(The Consequences Of Neglecting Him)

We claim to sing of these things today by the words that we use in songs that have been written but we must be honest and ask, could we be guilty of singing the song of fools?

THE SONG OF FOOLS
Expresses lack of concern for coming judgement.
Exposes lack of understanding of sin and mercy.
Extols the virtues of man.

The song of fools is mere lip service.
Many today could be accused as God’s people, the way they were accused by The Lord Himself of old.
>>Matthew 15:7-9. 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
>>Ezekiel 33:27-32. (A chapter warning of judgement) 27 Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence. 28 For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through. 29 Then shall they know that I am the Lord, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed. 30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. 31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. 32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

Do we understand and take seriously the message that is in the songs we sing today?
Are they too a pleasant song with a good uplifting beat that makes us feel good about ourselves?
Do we take the message lightly and thereby sing the song of fools?

Consider only one verse of this favorite song of many.
“These are the days of Elijah”.
Have you really understood the solemnity of this song?

These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the word of the Lord:
>>1 Kings 18:21. And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.

And these are the days of Your servant Moses
Righteousness being restored.
>>Deuteronomy 31:28-29. 28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them. 29 For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

And though these are days of great trial
Of famine and darkness and sword
>>Isaiah 24:16-18. 16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. 17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

Still, we are the voice in the desert crying
‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord!’
>>Luke 3:2-9. 2.. , the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. 3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins; 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. 7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Behold He comes riding on the clouds
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call;
>>Revelation 19:11-16. 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

>>2 Thessalonians 1:7-10. 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee
And out of Zion’s hill salvation comes
There are many voices being heard today from both the world and The Church.
Voices that will bring a mixture of emotions.
Voices that will bring wonderful promises that the future holds only good experiences, happiness and a sense of hope for their future.
Voices that will evoke confusion, anger and fear.
These voices will come from every quarter.
Friends, family, fake news, real news, those trying to deliberately lead them astray. Some claiming to warn of calamities, government fraud or takeovers. Finances and business failures and personal loses and broken promises.
Voices that will try to drown out the voice of the gospel message.
The Believers voice must be a voice that is sounding forth loud and clear, the message of sin and redemption.
Believers need to have the same mindset that the Apostle Paul had when requesting prayer.
>>Ephesians 6:18-20. 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

WHY? Because one more soul needs to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the Power of God unto Salvation.
