” Since by your obedience to the Truth through the [Holy] Spirit you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you] love one another fervently from a pure heart.”

Loving from a pure heart is sincere love, selfless love, the kind of love that we, as Christians, are called to give. Sincere love involves selfless giving; a self-centered person can’t truly give. The kind of love this girl couldn’t even fathom. Having lived a life that was utterly and completely, “All about me,” it truly is a miracle what God’s love has done to my heart.

God’s love and forgiveness frees us to take our eyes off of ourselves and to meet other’s needs. By sacrificing His life, Christ showed us that He truly loves us . Now we are free to love others by following His example of giving ourselves sacrificially.

Take it from me, words are cheap…actions and deeds speak volumes. Don’t just tell someone that you love them, show them by putting their wants, their needs and their desires above your own. For in doing so, you are spreading God’s love and glorifying God. After all, that is truly what we are called to do…love God, and love people.

I love you, friends

” Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and [a]disregards the offenses of others]. Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him). As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the [b]extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor]. Whoever speaks, [let him do it as one who utters] oracles of God; whoever renders service, [let him do it] as with the strength which God furnishes [c]abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (the Messiah). To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever (through endless ages). Amen (so be it) 1 Peter 4: 8-11 AMP

Grace and peace of God be upon your day!

We will weather this storm together with His love leading the way!
