Judas was a thief, he loved money, didn’t he. He even complained when Lazarus and Martha’s sis Mary anointed Him that she could have sold that for the poor.
But we know it would not have made it to the poor, because Judas held the bag and he was a thief and Jesus knew that.
Judas betrayed Jesus for a few pieces of silver, then even gave Him away with a kiss on the cheek as Jesus called him friend.
Later Judas was sorry for his actions because of the consequences of them, but he did not repent to God for sinning against God.
He ended up killing himself even after throwing the silver at the feet of the religious leaders.
Are many today, a Judas and do not even realize? Will they realize before it is too late? Or after it is too late?
Are we willing to betray Jesus when money is involved? Do we have a love for money and do not realize it? Do you quit having faith in order to get your fingers on a few dollars, but, laughed at others for stocking up before this happened?
There is a huge difference when it comes to stocking before the famine, and taking money that was made by the blood of mankind.
You see the LORD told some of His servants to stock on some items, but not for themselves, but, for those the LORD will send to them to feed and give them enough till the next town.
Blood money, money made in sinful ways are not to be used for anything of God’s. God does not need blood money in order for people to be fed, clothed, healed.
Jesus told us that man cannot serve two masters. You cannot not serve God and MAMMON, yes, He said MAMMON. Which is MONEY. He also said what would it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?
Are you willing to take the gamble and have your hand out to receive from the Government blood money and just hope that God “understands”? We are also told the love of money is the root of all evil.
Then there was the rich young ruler, he was willing to obey every commandment, but when Jesus told him to give away all his wealth he left Jesus sad.
What about Aninas and Saphira? They had land they sold it for x amount of dollars. But they were greedy but still wanted recognition. So they held part back, but lied and said they gave it all. They would never had died if they told the truth, but their hearts were not pure and they lied to the Holy Ghost. They wanted to keep a part for themselves BUT they wanted others to believe they gave it all! Pride, fame, to be looked at as if they were so spiritual.
Do not look to man for what God our Father is able and desires to give us. Does He not own the cattle on a thousand hills? Our riches are laid up in Heaven, they are not on this Earth.
Times are going to increase and much more is on the horizon. When one is not yet over another will begin, when this happens think of Job. Before one tragedy was not even finished another messenger came in to tell him of another. Remember Job!
Read the Word, pray, and seek the LORD in all things.
I love you.
