Being Small did not stop him from discovering the truth about the Rainbow treasure:
Luke 19:1-8. 1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho And encountered a man named Zacchaeus.
(He had riches but the people did not trust him) 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
(He was small in stature, some might call him a wee little man.) 3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
(He had one intention, to see Jesus. His name means pure. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God). 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
(Having been captured, he now obeys. For when he caught the attention of Jesus, Jesus captured his heart). .5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
(There were some present that may have been green with envy) 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
(He did not need to have a four leaf clover, but he understood what fourfold was.) 8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
Zacchaeus would not settle to hear about Jesus through the experiences of the crowd. He went up higher. He saw Jesus, for himself and so can you and I.
Revelation 4. 1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an <EMERALD>.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Jesus is no blarney stone that you have to stand on your head to kiss.
>>Luke 20:17-18. 17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? 18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
>>1 Peter 2:6-8. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
Zacchaeus not only saw, but discovered who it is that truly stomps on the serpent.
>>Genesis 3:15. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
>>Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
>>Romans 16:19-20. 19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
>>Luke 10:18-20 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
As Saints we have real power and authority to tread on the serpents of fear, doubt and unbelief.
March has many cliche’ references made concerning it that we often use.
|\March blew in this year like a lion with a snow storm, icy roads etc.
March continued as that dragon that cast out of it’s mouth , a flood. Flooding hearts with fear.
But I am here to say boldly that THE LAMB OF GOD that takes away the sins of the world is still here.
Not just to heal us of our sicknesses or remove the dangers of a pandemic, but to call us unto Himself that we may now, even in the light of the death and suffering around us, that our sins can be forgiven and we can have eternal life by confessing our sins and coming to Christ for mercy.
