So many of us are so quick to jump on the latest craze in Christiandom, like “alien agenda”, false rapture, man-made virus’ and whatnot.
OR
We tend to be so focused on the idolatry in the Catholic Church, or the hypocrisy in the SBC, the fact that Beth Moore is embracing homosexuals or why Kayne West can’t be saved, etc
When we ourselves are not even sanctified, or have grown from glory to glory, or can say my life is an open book come and read. Sadly by the looks of most of us, it is even questionable if we are even saved!
Here are a few questions for you to answer before God, not me or anyone else.
Are you living a life that is acceptable unto God?
Let’s start with the Temple (your body) do you make sure you are not throwing garbage in it? Fast Food? Junk food? Would you go to a Church building and sit inside where they preach and throw trash around? Or light up a cigarette? No? Why? God IS NOT DWELLING IN A BUILDING MADE WITH HANDS! Yet most of us have more respect for a building that is empty than our body in which the Holy Spirit dwells.
Are you walking in the very footsteps of Christ as He walked while He was in the flesh on this earth?
Are you quiet with a meek spirit?
Do you keep your opinion to yourself?
Or do you want everyone to know how “spiritual” and “wise” you are?
Do you look for credit for something you penned but God gave?
Is your life transparent?
Are you the same person in Church, at work, and at home?
Or are your own children confused at who you are when you go to different places?
Is your conversation seasoned with salt always?
Or is your language a bit salty as the world calls it by being crass, questionable jokes?
Do you walk away if possible when someone begins to gossip? Or do you join in?
Have you died to your ego?
Have you died to your vanity? (your profile show that many have not)
Is Christ Jesus who you desire to be like? Or is it some old-time preacher that was just a man?
Are you doing everything in your life for the glory of God?
Do you seek God in all things as Jesus did?
Do you work your job as if you are working for God?
These are just a few questions…
I ask them because 99.9% of us have no business searching for things that will not help us draw closer to the LORD and ignite in us a desire to live a holy and acceptable life unto God.
We do not even recognize the enemy who put us on this path of things that will not help purify us. But it feeds into our curiosity, it feeds that old man that used to feed on mystery movies or horror movies and now we are born again we do not watch them, so instead, we begin to search out “the Biblical horrors” to feed the old man.
Here we are condemning this group or that group or that person, when in truth we are selves are walking in condemnation and not even know it. Because we have a false idea that we are living lives acceptable unto God and we are not.
Have you ever done a study on something and told others, but it is not until someone else comes out with the same study months later that those same people are now excited as if they never heard it before? Do you tell them, “I told you that months ago!” Jealous? Pride? (I have, to my shame)
Desiring recognition is wrong, it is pride and wanting a pat on the back from man is carnal.
For over a month now the LORD has been showing me, me!
And it is not comfortable, but I am thankful! If you want the absolute TRUTH about yourself, ask GOD! Do not ask a friend because they try not to hurt your feelings, but God will hurt you with the Truth so you can repent! That is love, that is God!
We are to love ALL TRUTH even the truth that is ugly concerning ourselves.
Think twice before you start chasing the rabbit, pray and genuinely ask the LORD what path to take. Seek God asking Him to search your heart, examine even the hidden chambers in you. Work on yourself before you even think of cleaning someone else’s life up. Because in the end, it will matter.
