I want to ask you a couple of questions, and I do not want to know your answers. Your answer is between you and God Our Father.
Have you ever been in a huge argument and the phone rings, you see the caller ID and it is someone like your Pastor or a teacher. You answer the phone with a totally different tone, a happy to hear from your tone? Even saying you are great!
Have you ever been out and about with a friend or your children and you see someone, you say “oh please don’t let them see me, please they aggravate me”! Then the person walks up to you and your faces changes, you give them a hug and say I was just thinking about you!
Or how about you and your spouse is arguing all the to Church, you both are so upset and angry up to the Church steps, but as soon as you both walk across the threshold you both look like the happiest couple around?
Answer these questions honestly because God already knows the Truth.
Do you love the Truth? Most would say, “Yes! I love the Bible, I love Jesus!”
But do you love to hear the Truth about yourself? Whether it be good or bad?
If you have answered Yes to one of these or all of these have you repented for being a hypocrite?
WHAT DID I SAY?
HYPOCRITE I said and that is exactly what WE have been if we answered yes to ANY of these!
A hypocrite is an actor and pretender. Are you walking around as if you are living a holy and acceptable life before God at all times? Yet, when you are at home your children and your spouse would say something different?
If so you are a hypocrite and you need to repent AND you need to love the Truth that God just exposed to you!
You must understand, the Word tells us that God Himself will send a strong delusion to those who LOVE NOT THE TRUTH that they will believe a lie and be damned!
We must love ALL truth, truth is truth. If God did not love us. He would not show us where we are falling short. But He does love us, and by accepting the rebuke and correction is a show of humility. Not for all to see, but between the LORD and you!
Examine yourself, are you living a Holy and acceptable life before the LORD 24/7? Are you able to accept the Truth about yourself? Are you willing to Repent for being an actor/hypocrite?
