John 17:20-26
Prayer for all Believers
20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25O Righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14
Many Members, One Body
12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14For the body is not one member, but many.
1 Corinthians 12:25-27
25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the Saviour of the body.
Jesus prayed for those of us that have been born again and set apart because we believed in Jesus through the words of the Apostles. He DID NOT pray for those in the world, but for those WHO BELIEVE. He did not pray for the lukewarm, He did pray for the backslider, but He prayed for those, “that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
The love that God loved Jesus with may BE IN THEM, and Jesus IN THEM. If you are lukewarm that love is NOT IN YOU if you are backslidden that LOVE IS NOT IN YOU, and that love IS NOT IN THE WORLD.
So many today will try and claim these promises in the Word of God and even put their name in there and pray it. As if that will move God somehow in their favor, yet, they are causing discord, whispering, and backbiting their brother or sister in Christ. NOT HAPPENING! We cannot speak blessing and then cursing in the same breath! Out of the heart, flows the issue of life, if it comes out your mouth then it IS IN YOUR HEART.
We are told to do good to all, especially to those in the HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH! There is not many in the Church today that do this! There are those who will say they do, but, you get that same person that finds themselves in a situation between a brother or sister in Christ and their child adult in age and the majority will CHOOSE THEIR NON BORN AGAIN CHILD WHO STILL HAS A HEART THAT is DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS AND DESPERATELY WICKED!
THAT IS A SIN!! When this happens it brings shame on the Church and reproaches on the Name of CHRIST! We are to be ONE BODY, with Christ the Head! You would not choose someone else’s body part on another body over the BODY YOU BELONG TOO! NO, YOU WOULD NOT!
But what people do not understand, is this it is NOT THE PERSON they are rejecting they are rejecting OUR SAVIOR, OUR LORD, OUR MASTER! Because we are ONE with Him as He is ONE with the Father.
The scriptures I posted above are the very Words that Jesus Christ prayed for us! Still, it goes UNANSWERED!! His prayer is for us to become ONE as the Father and Him are ONE! He prays that we would know that the FATHER LOVES US AS HE LOVES JESUS!!
So many are looking for end-time signs, some are looking for Jesus any minute. But the discord in the Body is growing astronomically especially here in the American Church! Some say a huge revival is coming but where? How? The world laughs at the Church, they mock Jesus, or they are believing in a different Jesus. Why? Because the Church the Body of Christ are not ONE as the Father and the Son is ONE. Pride, arrogance, and haughtiness, has gotten in the way. Is everything lost? No! Not at all the LORD always has a remnant that has not bowed their knee to idolatry. That remnant is a remnant of unheard-of soldiers, those that seek God on their faces alone. Those that weep and travail for the lost. Those that are vexed by the wickedness and filth in the world. Those who do not desire to have a title before their name, but is quick and ready to praise the LORD for all things.
This remnant I believe God is raising up, and this remnant will shine so brightly as the remnant in the early church did. This remnant will have one agenda and that will to preach the Gospel and continue crying out to the Father the same prayer that Jesus prayed that has not been answered.
This prayer was so important and weighed on the LORDs heart so greatly, He waited until the betrayer was gone (Judas Iscariot) and before they went to the Garden! He prayed for the remnant that would love Him so much that their own lives meant nothing to them in comparison. That they would love one another as Jesus loves us, that they would not argue nor put themselves over another but see one another as family, as ONE. As this begins to come to fruition, and it will Jesus knew how to pray a prayer of faith, after all, this will be the GREATEST EVANGELICAL MOVEMENT EVER!!! Why? Because the world will then know that the Father sent the Son and will believe to the Glory of the Father!
Father, we pray that we in the Body of Christ on the earth will be One as You and Jesus are One, as You are in Jesus and Jesus in us that we will be made perfect IN ONE, so the world will believe that You, Father, have sent Jesus.
Only those who have died to their wants, their desires, their flesh will be able to pray this. We must prefer our brother or sister above our own self. We need to ask the LORD to SAVE US FROM PRIDE, the DESIRE TO BE RECOGNIZED.
We must love the LORD our God with all of our hearts, all of our soul, mind, and strength. And then love our neighbors as ourselves. BUT we are to love our brothers and sisters in the LORD with a greater love than our neighbors.
We must learn to be slow to speak, swift to hear, and slow to wrath. Having a meek and quiet spirit which the LORD loves.
My opinion means nothing, your opinion means nothing, what the Word of God says means everything.
