Stench In His Nostrils

Have you ever thought about how God considers sin?

It is a stench in His nostrils, it is sickening!

Have you seriously taken it in your heart exactly what was placed on Jesus and why the Father had to look away for 3 hours?

Do you really grasp the love He had for us to be able to withstand being smeared with our sin, separated from the Father, and endure an ETERNITY’S worth of Holy Wrath of God for our sin?

At that moment Jesus could not call Him Father, because the relationship was broken. He now has to call Him God! Crying out,
“MY GOD! MY GOD! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?

Have you forgotten the 3 prayers Jesus prayed in the Garden? The exact same prayer 3 times?

“Father, if it is possible let this cup pass from Me, but nevertheless let Thy Will be done”!

If you could comprehend what really took place that day, you would not be so quick to sin, or so easily take what Christ did for granted.

Many believe Jesus was sweating great drops of blood because of the beatings, the mocking, and the death of the Cross He was about to face.

I am not minimizing the physical pain, not at all, but many have died worse deaths than crucifixion. Many before Christ and many after Christ.

Martyrs sang while being lead into the lion’s den in order to be eaten alive, or while being burned on the stake their voices praising God could be heard.

Jesus was not a coward nor did He pray that prayer because of the physical pain.

He was distressed to the point of it showing in the physical by His sweat being mingled with His blood because He was going to do the hardest thing ever, He was going to be separated from the Father! An unheard-of thing an occurrence that no one can comprehend something Jesus Himself could not comprehend.

The filth, the wretched sin that had such a HORRIED stench was going to be placed on Him and at that exact moment, the fellowship between the Father and the Son will be broken for the first TIME EVER! This is why He was distressed this is why His body reacted the way it did!

No one preaches that anymore, they would rather give you half. But we need to understand the ENTIRETY OF WHAT JESUS DID FOR US!

That is how much He loved us, that is how vile our SIN IS TO GOD! So vile that the moment the first sin was placed on Jesus Christ at noonday the whole planet turned dark! Not just Jerusalem but the entire planet! China has ancient documents stating from the dynasty that was in power at that time that for three hours no light is shown at all! But no one preaches this! Why?

Because Satan knows the more you understand the depth of the love of God the more you will love Him, the more you love Him the greater you will serve Him. And the more you serve Him you will cry out to live a holy life for Him.

Here is a story I heard and I loved it.

There was a little girl and the little girl was telling her mommy how much she loved her. She would name off all her body parts and tell her mommy she loved everything about her except her hands. She said she hated her hands they were ugly. You see the mommy’s hands were very dark and horribly scarred they were very ugly. The mommy picked up her little girl and explained, “One day, you fell into a fire and mommy grabbed you so you would not be burned. Instead, my hands were burned pulling you out to save your life”.
The little girl looked up into her mommy’s face and said, “I love your hands! I love your hands more than any other part”!

You see when we realize and understand the whole Truth we too will be like this little girl!

Jesus not only took strips on His back and had His beard plucked out by the roots. And was hung on that tree naked before all to see. But He also took our sin and bore the Holy Wrath of God, an ETERNITY’S WORTH in 3 hours!!! He was the propitiation for our sins!

Sin must be judged, regardless, if you repent and believe and are born again then Christ took your sin and bore your punishment.

If you reject Christ then when you die you will incur your own punishment for eternity.

Now, look at the picture below. Pretty disgusting huh? Well, that is the closet thing I can think of as to show you how vile, how filthy, and how detestable sin is.

Every time you lie or look at someone and lust, gossip, backbite no matter how big you think it is or how small. No matter if it was one time or hundred it is sin and it is a stench in the nostrils of Almighty God.

Think about this toilet then think about running your tongue not only around it, but under the rim where the water flows! Pretty sickening huh? Well sin to God is worse than that!

Don’t take sin so lightly! God doesn’t and Jesus sure did not!
