Inspired Versus Historical

Cross-Bible

So many people running around wanting to read the “missing books” of the Bible. Or they are buying the Babylonian Talmud to see what the Zionist Kabbalist are teaching and believing. BUT…They neglect the proven true Word of God that contains 66 Books in one which we call the Bible.

What are they chasing after? What are they wanting to find out in these Books?

Yes, there are several books that the Bible mentions like Enoch 1, or Jasher and others but if God wanted them in the Cannon HE WOULD HAVE MADE SURE THEY WERE IN THERE!  Some are historical books, like the Maccabees, and some have bits of truth in them. But if they were totally INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, GOD WOULD have HAD THEM IN THERE!

Then you have Josephus’ books who was a Jewish historian that went to work for Rome (Jews called him a traitor), how reliable are his writings? He was not a born again disciple of Christ so he wanted to please who held his life in their hands which would have been Roman Emperor.

I am NOT saying do not read historical books and accounts of Biblical days, what I am concerned about is you taking things as the Word of God and it is not.

Jesus, Jude, Paul, and the others had great discernment and they knew about these writings they knew what was truth and what was not. Jesus even celebrated the “Feast of Dedication” or the “Feast of Lights” which is Hanukkah. It is NOT mentioned in the Old Testament but it is written in the history books of the Maccabees. He honored this Feast though it is not a Biblical one. Why? Because it was in honor and remembrance of God’s Grace, Mercy, provision, and love pointing to Him as the Light of the world the LIGHT of ALL MEN! But He did not say for us to read Maccabees as scripture did He?

Apostle Paul had written 4  letters to the Corinthians but only 2 are in the scriptures. Why? Obviously, two letters were not inspired and may have had a bit of carnality in it, after all, he was quite displeased with them, as he was human.

Here is the proof there were 4 letters and not only two:

1 Corinthians 5:9

9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:  (would have been the first letter)

1 Corinthians is actually the SECOND LETTER he wrote after they wrote him back.

2 Corinthians 2:4

4For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

2 Corinthians 7:8

8For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

Here we read there was ANOTHER LETTER prior to this one, and it was NOT what we call 1 Corinthians. This letter would have been number 3.

2 Corinthians is actually the 4th letter Paul wrote between visits.

I have a hard time believing that there are “lost books” now found that we are to accept as inspired by God.

Psalm 12:6-7

6  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:6-7, KJV)

Please stay in the Word and focus on what is written therein, take warning lest you be deceived.

I love you all.

How many letters did Paul write to the Corinthians?
